Kat Morin
Marine biologist and field ecologist specializing in protected species monitoring, photo-identification, and population assessment. With experience spanning plankton to marine mammals across eight countries, I bring hands-on expertise in data management, vessel operations, and collaborative research that supports conservation decision-making. From remote field camps in UNESCO World Heritage sites to long-term monitoring programs in temperate estuaries, my work focuses on understanding how diverse marine species use and respond to their environments.
Currently, I'm monitoring juvenile salmon migration with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife's Lower Sacramento River Rotary Screw Trap program.
